"Sam is a 15 year old talented all round sportsman whose main passion revolves around the game of golf. He has had significant golf coaching regarding physical techniques and a short introduction to sports psychology. However there was something still missing in his golf game – mental strength and focus. Mike Bell has provided Sam with this mental strength and focus with astounding and immediate results.
Through the use of two simple but very effective techniques Mike has made a real difference to Sam’s ability to perform when it counts. Firstly visualization and anchoring techniques and secondly the ability to clear the mind and focus on the task at hand have helped Sam immensely. Mike did not offer training in physical techniques but he helped Sam train his mind and through this created superb confidence in his ability to succeed.
Sam completed his session with Mike on a Sunday morning recently. His enthusiasm was infectious and he created immediate rapport with Sam. That afternoon in practice, Sam shot a new course record at his home club. Two days later he won the Junior Open at the Salisbury and South Wilts Golf Club – a course he had never seen before. Later that week he was runner up in another golf tournament at Puttenham near Guildford and the week ended on a high when he defended a title he had won 12 months previously at his home club in Aldershot. But this time his score improved by 7 shots from the previous year and he beat the reigning Hampshire Under 18 champion head to head.
Sam is now on a 1 handicap and over the next three years he aims to become a dominant junior player in England at the highest level and then move to a senior career as a touring professional golfer. There is no doubt that Mike has helped point Sam in the right direction with regard to the mental aspects of his game and I am very happy to strongly endorse Mike to anyone looking to improve their performance through increased mental strength and focus".

"I have been training with Mike for well over a year now and the results have been impressive. I have lost weight but, more importantly, become much fitter, leaner, stronger and less injury prone - prior to the personal training I had a history of minor injuries from playing football.
Mike takes a holistic approach, building core strength and overall fitness, rather than just concentrating on "problem areas". In the longer term, this gives a much more balanced and sustainable outcome. He uses a variety of training methods, many (e.g. TRX) using balance techniques that quickly improve core strength. He makes it fun and variable too - yes he uses weights but you may find yourself standing on one leg on a Bosu rather than simply "pumping iron"!
I have used several trainers and Mike is definitely the best. He will work you hard but as part of a structured and well thought out strategy (unlike many trainers) - his gentle manner masks a steely determination to get results. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him, indeed several friends now use him and have seen similarly great results".

"I commenced training with Mike in August 09, following the first part of the year adhering to a strict diet and attendance two or three times a week at the gym. My aim, initially, was to lose weight for a special occasion with a goal of 52 pounds by the end of December 09. However, my long term aim has always been to regain a good level of fitness and have a sustainable healthy eating plan.
It became abundantly clear early on in the year that this was going to be a long haul and I needed additional help and guidance to keep me on track. Mike is both knowledgeable and inspirational with a friendly but professional approach at all times to the sessions. He always takes time out to answer questions, understand my individual needs, what motivates and how to make the sessions both enjoyable but ultimately productive to achieve my long term aims.
