Why Do I Need Personal Training ?
Considering the physical issues surrounding the population at large, ie Obesity, Heart Attacks, Stress, tiredness, low energy, ineffective exercise, Lower Back Problems, and the fact that the environment is having a major impact on the populations health, it is time to take control and for you to value your health and physical functioning in a new way. The old ways of exercising, ie Machines in gyms etc are quickly becoming most ineffective, and our lifestyles require a different kind of training. Also, due to our busy lifestyles, it is too time consuming to travel to a gym, get changed and showered etc.
What is Personal Training All About?
First, I will visit you for an initial consultation, which will cover the following:
a. Determine if personal training with me is the right approach for you.
b. Determine your Present Situation, Challenges and Goals.
c. Health & Lifestyle Questionaire/Discussion and completion of relevant forms.
d. Take Blood Pressure/Heart Rate
e. Postural Assessments to determine any muscular/postural imbalances/compensations which will reflect the training I provide. Digital photos can also be taken when assessing posture so that at a later date a comparison can be made showing improvement.
f. Plan of action to ensure success.
I also provide you with a Free Foam Roller and Swiss Ball.
Then, during succeeding training sessions I will visit you, either at your home, place of work or suitable venue.I will bring all of the training equipment necessary (including dumbells, swiss ball, medicine balls, TRX, Bosu, Kettlebells, workout bench and gymstick.) Depending on where you are now, training will progress through various stages and rates of progress so as to achieve your health and fitness goals.
My approach to Personal Training is motivating, fun, challenging and produces results. I favour training which involves the entire body, and based on your posture, movement, goals and abilities, will give you results you are looking for.

Specialised Coaching Services.
In addition to Personal Training, if the client requires lifestyle coaching services, then this can be integrated. For example:
a. If the client has a health issue which he\she has come to personal training for, ie Stop Smoking, Stress, Depression, Obesity then it may be useful to the client to have coaching to overcome these issues. Being an NLP Trainer (as well as skilled in other therapies and coaching models), my experience has been that the greatest success with clients who have certain issues is to combine a mind/body approach. This is what makes me unique in my field, and this is the way that the future of Personal Training will be going. See my article for further information.
The TRX Suspension Trainer
The TRX suspension trainer can be used by all levels & abilities. It is portable & can be set up in seconds for use both indoors & out.
