What is NLP Sports Performance Recovery Coaching  ?

For athletes and sportsmen/sportswomen, the ability to recover from setbacks is of paramount importance. It may be that the athlete is recovering from a physical injury, however there may be a psychological component preventing the athlete from recovering/moving on, or maybe the athlete may have to recover from a situation, for example loss of confidence, anxiety, fear, self-belief.

Being an NLP Master Practitioner, NLP Sports Coach and NLP Trainer, I have worked with athletes in order to overcome challenges which they have faced. As an NASM Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist I have helped athletes in terms of their conditioning for their sports, and this may be either for recovering from an injury, or more from a performance enhancement point of view. I am therefore very aware of athletes skills, abilities etc. 

Therefore, combining my experience as a conditioning expert and behavioural expert enables me to really help an individual increase levels of success in their sport/activity.  

What kind of issues/problems can NLP Performance Recovery Coaching be used for?

An extremely wide area of issues can be dealt with, from remedial therapeutic issues to more generative performance coaching. 

Examples Situations:

1. Post Injury. After an injury, at an emotional level the athlete may find difficulty in regaining similar performance levels. For example, a horse rider who falls off a horse may find difficulty getting back on again. Or, an athlete who suffers an injury may have difficulty in regaining confidence.  

2. During Competition/Performance. An athlete needs to maintain mindset when a less than good situation arises during performance. For example a golfer may hit a bad shot, and then it is most important to maintain a success mindset and not be distracted by the bad shot.

3. Post Competition Situation. If, for example, an athlete loses a competition, or does less than expected, self confidence and self-belief may suffer, therefore it is of pivotal importance that the athlete maintains the correct mindset.

Whatever challenges/problems etc a person has, I evaluate it on a person to person basis, and I will only go ahead with the coaching if I know that I can help.
