HNLP Sports Practitioner Training

7 Day NLP/HNLP Sports Practitioner Training

(either 7 days straight, or modular format:
2 days each weekend for 3 weekends, plus 1 extra day)

Are you a sports coach, athlete or personal trainer, interested in increasing your skill set to effectively coach your clients (and indeed yourself) to improve their performance?
Or perhaps you may be a manager, coach or healthcare professional who is interested in learning NLP coaching skills to improve performance!
I am an NLP Trainer, Sports Hypnotist, Corrective Exercise Specialist & Sports Massage Therapist). As you may know, NLP is the rapidly becoming the world’s leading technology in behavioural change.
There is a limit to the number and variety of physical fitness exercises  and exercise regimes that can be given to clients. At a competitive level, it is the athlete’s mindset that will make the difference. I  coached a golfer, using NLP, over the period of 1 hour, with the result that the golfer went onto the course, broke the course record and won 1 competition and also placed 2nd in another in the space of 1 week. NLP offers athletes and sportspeople significant increases in motivation, performance and behavioural change.
The majority of clients hiring personal trainers are primarily those wanting to lose weight, tone their bodies and feel good about themselve’s. As well as exercise, these clients are looking for the trainer to help motivate them and change their patterns of behaviour.  The future of Personal Training is Personal Coaching, whereby the Personal Trainer is also an expert in behavioural change. NLP is the need that provides this important skill.
For future sports coaches and personal trainers to evolve, the psychology of the clients mindset has to be taken into account, as well as physical training principles etc.
As far as I am aware, I am one of the few NLP Trainers (also a personal trainer) who is running a streamlined NLP Practitioner course specifically for sports coaches, athletes and personal trainers.

What is NLP/HNLP Sports Practitioner Coaching ?
NLP Performance Coaching is a 7 day NLP Practitioner course designed primarily for people wanting to help/coach others in order to improve their performance, as well as athletes/sportspeople,  from a ‘mind skills’ point of view.  In the process you also learn to coach yourself, so from a personal development point of view this course is invaluable.

Who Should Attend This Training?
This course is invaluable for anyone who works with people on improving their performance, so sports coaches, athletes/sportspeople, and personal trainers should attend. Although this course is geared to the context of sport, the same principles apply to other areas/contexts where the main aim is on performance improvement, so managers, therapists, coaches, leaders, supervisors, and health care professionals would also benefit from this course.

How this course is different from many other NLP courses, and why you should attend.
As well as an NLP Trainer, I am also an experienced NASM Personal Trainer (also a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist), and having done this for quite a few years now, I am well familiar with working with people in a sporting/health and fitness environment, and this is most relevant as most of the people attending my courses are from that environment.
Lots of courses may give lots of info, others may do lots of exercises. ‘NLP Sports Performance Coaching’ gives you lots of reasons why you need to learn the info and develop the skills, lots of content and info is given, lots of exercises, and then how to integrate your new skills into your relevant area of expertise.
First of all, in basic terms, the mind is divided into 2 main functions, one is your ‘Conscious Mind’, that is your everyday awareness and where you put your attention, whereas your ‘Unconscious Mind’ (or subconscious, same thing) is the part of your mind that is out of your awareness, it is where your memories are stored, your intuition, values, beliefs and it runs your body and keeps you alive etc. Now, most coaching methods, and indeed lots of NLP courses focus on the conscious interchange between the coach and the client, and involve questioning, analysis and tasking. Modern Neuroscience has shown us that unconscious functioning pre-seeds our conscious awareness by half a second. Now, the thing is, most coaching issues are not conscious driven processes, they are the result of automatic unconscious reactions and patterns which occur before conscious awareness, for example procrastination, performance anxiety, performance issues, overwhelm, indecision, conflicting priorities. What is majorly important and what you will get from this course is how to conversationally coach the Unconscious Mind for Change.
Most people need good NLP trained professionals for usually 1 main reason....they need to change some form of behaviour. The one thing that drives behaviour is the states (ie state of mind, emotion etc) that the person is in, and in NLP terminology the one main thing that drives States is Strategies (i.e. what people do in their heads to create their states of mind), and a large part of this course is working at the level of strategies, enabling you to get the best and biggest handle on states so as to help change your clients behaviour and hence results and performance.
As well as coaching the unconscious mind for change, the second biggest area that ‘NLP Performance Coaching’ has to offer is the area of Calibration (Observation), so as to get real skilled as to what to pay attention to when working with a client. A lot of coaches do this naturally, and lots of courses glance over this very quickly, however I will say that noticing the fine distinctions in what a person is doing and then using that, goes a long way further than learning simply a bunch of NLP techniques.
The value of this course, in the way it is designed, is that skills learnt at the beginning builds upon the next skills and the next etc, so as you continue to learn everything that was taught previously Still Counts.

What’s in it for you? What is taught on this course that is useful?
Here is a brief summary of the main areas/subjects/skills that you will learn
• What is NLP?
• Advanced Observation Skills, that will make the NLP techniques that you learn highly effective.
• Rapport, from a quantum based approach.
• How to use language in different ways, both consciously and unconsciously to create change. Specifically you will learn to effectively use the Meta Model, Milton Model, and Linguistic Pre-Suppositions. These first 3 days form the foundation to the change-work skills you will begin to learn from now.

• How your athletes/sportspeople can access and utilize the most resourceful states of mind to improve their performance. Specifically Anchoring, Collapsing Anchors and Chaining Anchors. Note also that the techniques you will learn are totally applicable to the real world, and not just ‘Seminar Training Exercises ’!
• HNLP (Humanistic Neuro- Linguistic Psychology). HNLP brings up-to-date transformational techniques to the NLP Arena.
• HNLP Coaching Model. A highly effective coaching model, designed to coach the Unconscious mind for Change.
• The Board Break. It is great to do the board break, however it is a metaphor for breaking through limitations, and is also an example of ‘modelling’ (ie how people do things real well), and so you will learn how to break a board within a short period of time, that normally takes years.
• You will learn specific ways to create behavioural and emotional change. Specifically you will learn about Submodalities, Map Across, The Swish Technique, Belief Change, the famous Phobia Technique.
• Self Hypnosis. So important for sports professionals.
• Time Based Techniques. If you have clients who have problems/issues in the past, then they can be resolved using these powerful Time Based Techniques.

• How to linguistically change someone’s perception with the language you use, and how to reframe clients problems so that they become empowered and resourceful, and how to resolve internal conflicts. Specifically you will learn content/context reframing, 6-Step Reframing and Parts Integration (Visual Squash).
•  Learn Mind-Power For Life, which is a very fast way to relax, reduce stress, and focus on goals and what’s important in your life.
• Special Topic. What’s one of the single most important skills you can have to live your life? Answer: The ability to deal with Uncertainty.

How can you integrate these NLP Skills into your life/job/career?
If you are a sports coach/Trainer etc, then working with your athlete 1 to 1 works, and this can be done in a formal sit-down face to face situation, or coaching can occur in a more conversational way, or a combination of the 2. One of the skills NLP teaches you is to be curious and flexible in your approach, and pay attention to what’s going on. If you are a coach in a particular sport, then NLP Coaching related to your sport could be your niche! This would obviously reap rewards financially. And there is also the idea of writing articles, so that you could become an NLP presence within your sports field. Just a few ideas to spark your interest and curiosity!

What Certifications do you receive after successful completion of the training?
You receive 4 certifications, NLP Practitioner, NLP Sports Practitioner, HNLP Practitioner, and HNLP Practitioner of Time-Based Techniques.
