My Name is Mike Bell & my expertise is in my ability to use a combined approach to tackle & correct a variety of sports problems and accelerate success.
I am qualified in NLP, Hypnotherapy, Sports massage & Corrective exercise & whilst working in these fields individually have discovered how interrelated they are & how the best way to achieve mental & physical improvement is by working out a programme based on the individuals needs. For example I have been working on a cyclist with a balance problem who specifically needed Massage & stretching (following full & comprehensive assessment & testing) followed by specific exercises to strengthen & condition as per his needs.
Another recent client has been a golfer who had rotational issues due to an imbalance & has been corrected with Massage & specific stretching exercises & another golfer who has seen his game significantly improve following a course of hypnotherapy.
So how do I work?
The first session will be mainly an information gathering session, (or needs analysis, postural testing, goal assessment, problem identification etc, depending on requirements). After establishing how effective the following sessions can be, I will design an individual programme of sessions to suit. Generally that will be through a combined programme of massage & corrective exercise to establish greater body functioning & the use of hypnotherapy to refocus the mind.
This combined approach is highly effective.

45mins : £45
60 mins: £55
Sports Performance Counselling £65 per hour
Combined sessions (preferred option)
Again this will be dependant on need, but a basic programme would probably be 1 hour combined massage/Corrective exercise & a separate 1 hour sports performance counselling session per week, normal price £130.

Why isSports Performance Counselling so Important?
Are there things in life that you want to do, yet you are not doing or achieving ?
Do you feel that something in you is holding you back?
Are there habits that you do in your life, yet no matter how hard you try you cannot get rid of them ?
Do you feel that you emotionally react to things in a way that you don’t like, and it happens so fast that you cannot do anything about it ?

What I am about to write is so important, that if you grasp the relevance of it, will change your mindset regarding hypnosis and possibly your life forever !
There are 2 main functions of your mind (mind being your entire being, both your brain, nervous system and body etc) – your conscious and your unconscious (or subconscious) mind. Your conscious mind is your everyday mindset and what you are focussing on and paying attention to right now. Everything else is your unconscious mind, ie what is outside of your current awareness, and this includes memories, habits, intuition, bodily functions, emotions, values, beliefs etc).
Most people attempt to change things consciously, with willpower etc. In some cases this can work, however the main reason why change doesn’t occur is because the habits etc are operating at the unconscious level, and the unconscious mind is very fast and can multi-task at very high levels. What Hypnosis will give you is the ability to change things at the unconscious level, so that change can be fast, easy and natural.
How would you like to work for someone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year, and get no pay, no thankyou, nothing ! In fact your boss would treat you badly, give you bad food, stop you from exercising, and say bad things to you !!!
This is how most people treat their own bodies and unconscious minds. They give their brain negative thoughts, their bodies bad foods, they don’t exercise, not enough sleep and good nutrition, and don’t have a way of communicating with their unconscious minds.
At sea, if the captain and the crew are in conflict, or if the captain treats the crew badly, then you have mutiny ! The same thing happens with humans - by consciously trying to make changes, without the agreement etc from the unconscious mind, great results and change can be sabotaged.
So, if you had a way of communicating with your unconscious mind, so that the captain and crew/ship were in agreement and going in the same direction, would that be of massive value to you in your life?
The answer is Hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state of mind which allows you to focus on things which are of most importance. Peoples typical thoughts of hypnosis relate to Stage shows, swinging watches, going under and out of control etc. Forget this last sentence as nothing could be further from the truth. Hypnosis is a relaxed state of mind, which hightens awareness and control, and enables you to connect to resources inside (ie positive memories, useful skills and abilities), so that changes can occur which are natural and real, and lasting.
